So, here I am sitting in California anticipating the adventure I'm about to undertake when I leave for the University of Glasgow. I have finally finished summer school in Norman, and I made the long road trip home in time to have a "bon voyage" party with my siblings.
For those of you who don't know, my sister, Breezy, and my brother, Jeff, will be spending the next year abroad. While I will only be gone for a semester, they will be out of here for an entire year! I must say, I am a little jealous, but I can't imagine graduating abroad so I decided I wanted to spend my final semester in what has become my home over the last three years, Norman!
Now, I know what many of you are thinking, what does "haggis" have to do with any of this. Wellll, let me tell you! Haggis is a Scottish cultural dish, the contents of which I care not to think about too much. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis. Now that I am finished with that extensive explanation, let me wrap up by saying I am so excited to leave!
Next I will blog about what I have learned about Glasgow and the University so far, and possibly there will be some moaning and groaning about what I can (and cannot) fit into my suitcases as I prepare for this wonderful adventure known as study abroad!
